As part of the continuous assessment system, before starting the group Project, students will take a multiple choice Test on the content introduced in class.

Group work will be compulsory and it will not be substituted by any other activity. The group will work like a team during the course and will analyse one advert in depth, showing critical thinking and analytical skills.

The genre of publicity has been chosen as being illustrative of persuasive communication.

A final oral group presentation

Each team of students will present their final group Project to the class.

Autonomous student practice

Each group will engage in their project in class and also outside the class.

Students will read set chosen texts and write reflections on them. In the second part of the subject, they will engage in team work, to produce a thorough analysis of an advert, as a way to deconstruct publicity and appreciate the analytical value of pragmatic concepts.
