GENERAL OBJECTIVES

  • Knowledge of Anthropology of Communication.
  • Knowledge of useful audiovisual tools for anthropology.

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

  1. Acquisition of knowledge that allows critical reflection on the use of audiovisual tools and their possible innovations in anthropological work.
  2. Acquisition of knowledge and skills for the management of audiovisual technologies applied to anthropological practice and research, in all data collection, analysis and presentation processes.
  3. Development of the ability to use audiovisual tools in theoretical and practical research.

Teoría.

THEORY

  • Anthropology of communication. Analysis of the different media, technologies, and platforms: Anthropology of communication, Visual anthropology, Sound antropology, Antrhopological cinema.

PRACTICE

          Tools for anthropology:

9. Evaluación

Criterios de evaluación.

The evaluation of the subject is based on the concept of co-evaluation, applicable to part of the tasks or jobs to be performed. This system combines the evaluation carried out by the teacher with the application of a rubric, and the self-assessment carried out by each student and the peer evaluation carried out on the work of their classmates, with the application of questionnaires managed in EvalCOMIX.

The criteria that cannot be quantified with the application of a rubric are evaluated based on the teacher's observation.

As general criteria, the following are considered:

Adaptation of the work to what was requested by the teacher.

Delivery of assignments according to the standards set by the teacher.

Compliance with the tasks assigned in each of the group works.

Creativity and inventiveness

Capacity for effort and overcoming difficulties.

Originality, etc.

Present the works following the corresponding indications.

Theoretical knowledge

Analytical skills

Soft skills

Capacity for effort and improvement

Creativity and originality

Works presented out of the platform or out of time are not going to be considered.

Recomendaciones para la evaluación.

EVALUATION

This subject has a practical character, that is why a continuous evaluation has been proposed.

Collaborative and participatory methodologies, student-centered learning and Service based Learning are used.

ORDINARY

Minimum 80% attendance required

  • Positive participation          15 %
  • Theoretical commentaries   15 %
  • Weekly practices                30 %
  • Final project                      40 %

Some of the tasks will be groupal. In these cases, the grade will have a groupa part and an individual weitghting.

The fraudulent use of bibliographic citations is considered illegal; therefore, the student will have a score of 0 point as final grade in the corresponding call. In case it is a groupal work, each student will have 0 points.

 

NON-FACE-TO-FACE

The students that choose a non-face-to-face evaluation must present the same work and within the same deadlines. Items related to face-to-face assistance will not be considered.

It is needed to pass every and any part of the evaluation system.

EXTRAORDINARY

   The details will be specified according to the evaluation modalities and the peculiarities of each case.
