Asignatura obligatoria de segundo ciclo con carácter semestral que completa el desarrollo de otras materias fundamentales que componen el Grado en Estudios Ingleses

PRÁCTICOS

Análisis lingüístico y traducción de textos representativos del inglés antiguo.

• CG1 Que sitúe la lengua inglesa en relación con las lenguas de su entorno dentro de la familia indoeuropea y de las lenguas germánicas.
• CG2 Que se familiarice con el contexto cultural e histórico del inglés medio y moderno.
• CG3 Que conozca las innovaciones léxicas producidas por el contacto de los anglo-sajones con otros pueblos.
• CG4 Que compare y analice textos de distintas épocas.

• CE1. Que el alumnado conozca y aprenda los procesos de desarrollo fonológico y morfosintáctico desde el inglés antiguo.

  CE2. Que el alumnado conozca el sistema fonológico y gramatical de la lengua inglesa a lo largo de su historia.

  CE3. Que el alumnado conozca las variedades diatópicas del inglés antiguo.

  CE4. Que el alumnado conozca cómo se inicia el proceso de formación del estándar actual.

  CE5. Que el alumnado sea capaz de aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos para analizar lingüísticamente textos de este periodo.

  CE6. Que sea el alumnado capaz de deducir las reglas de evolución fonológicas, morfológicas o sintácticas, de una serie de ejemplos.

  CE7. Que el alumnado reconozca la importancia de la sociedad en los cambios de la lengua.

  CE8. Que el alumnado comprenda el funcionamiento de la lengua y disfrute con los nuevos descubrimientos que se le ofrecen.

  CE9. Que el alumnado sea consciente y respete la diversidad cultural.

• CT1. Desarrollo de autonomía en el aprendizaje, con una adecuada distribución del tiempo. 

  CT2. Uso adecuado de las bases de datos y otras fuentes bibliográficas para la localización de la información oportuna y fiable.

El trabajo continuado del estudiante constituirá un criterio básico en el sistema de evaluación. La evaluación global se basará en los resultados que el alumnado obtenga en distintas pruebas y/o trabajos que se realizarán a lo largo del curso.

El alumnado debe demostrar que (1) entiende de manera clara los conceptos expuestos en las clases magistrales; (2) comprende y sabe poner en práctica los conceptos estudiados y presentados en las clases prácticas.  Asimismo, es imprescindible que el alumno demuestre una competencia en inglés (nivel C1), así como que sabe fundamentar correctamente sus análisis lingüísticos.

El alumnado puede elegir libremente entre dos tipos de evaluación:

• Tipo A: evaluación continua, que incluye los siguientes instrumentos de evaluación:

• tres exámenes escritos de contenido teórico-práctico en las fechas indicadas en el programa de la asignatura entregado al comienzo del curso (CG1-CG4, CG1-CG10, CT1-CT4)

• Tipo B: evaluación final, que incluye el siguiente instrumento de evaluación:

un examen escrito de contenido teórico-práctico en la fecha fijada en la Guía Académica (CG1-CG4, CG1-CG10, CT1-CT4)
