4. Learning objectives

This course is a general introduction to Political Science, with an effort to take a global perspective. It will familiarize students with concepts, methods, frameworks, and findings of the field, as well as main authors, useful data-bases, on line resources and practical examples of real-world policy and practice. Students will also learn how political scientists address some important issues of our time, and criticize how others address these issues.

7. Teaching methods

Las clases serán de dos tipos. Por un lado, las clases teóricas, en las cuales se expondrán los conceptos y enfoques teóricos persiguiendo la discusión y los comentarios de los estudiantes en la búsqueda de ejemplos y experiencias en la realidad. Por otro lado, el curso tiene clases prácticas en las que se plantearán distintos ejercicios y problemas relacionados con la temática de la asignatura.
